Our goal at Harper & Company Builders, Inc. is to return each construction worker, supplier, visitor, and Owner’s employee safely to their family every day.
Each site employee (company and subcontracted) must complete a site safety orientation prior to beginning work on each project. Site management will perform and document daily and weekly inspections through site walks and daily observations. The Harper & Company Builders, Inc safety director performs random comprehensive safety inspections every two to threeweeks in addition to site management’s inspections.
Our firm requires all project management and superintendents to obtain and/or maintain current training in OSHA compliance (OSHA 10), CPR and 1st Aid/ AED/ Bloodborne Pathogen, Fall Protection, Scaffolding, NPDES Level 1A,and Crane Rigging and Signaling. Our non-management field personnel are required to obtain and/or maintain currenttraining in OSHA compliance (OSHA 10), CPR and 1st Aid/ AED/ Bloodborne Pathogen, Fall Protection, Scaffolding, and task specific training. In addition, regular site specific training is conducted via tailgate safety briefings to address current conditions of an ongoing project. Training provides the knowledge for personnel to anticipate and plan for safe work methods and practices in accordance with company policy and regulatory standards prior to ever beginning, and during, a project.
Under a comprehensive training program, Harper & Company Builders, Inc. publishes and executes an extensive classroom training schedule annually to provide multiple certifications and competencies. Training is available to all company employees and sub-contractors.
